Accessing Risk Manager
Review the information in this section to find out how to access IBM® Security Risk Manager and features of the basic and advanced versions of Risk Manager.
Accessing Risk Manager
To access the Risk Manager application, complete
the following steps:
- On the home page, click Risk Manager.
- Alternatively, on the home page, click the Menu icon.
- In the My applications section, click .
To access the Risk Manager operational modules,
complete the following steps:
- On the home page, click the Menu icon.
- In the Application settings section, click .
Risk Manager Basic
The base version of the Risk Manager application
provides the following features:
- Risk dashboard for viewing correlated and contextual visualization of risk areas.
For more information about the dashboard, see Security risk visualization.
- Ability to import threat events and asset data into Risk Manager from the source products for which you created
and configured the data source connections to analyze and compute the risk score.

- Risk score computation by the risk engine that uses the system-defined risk profile with default
risk configuration values to calculate the score.

- Basic version of IBM X-Force® Red Vulnerability Management Services (VMS) is enabled to enrich only
250 unique vulnerabilities per day.

Risk Manager Advanced
The Risk Manager Advanced application provides the
following features:
- Prescriptive recommendations to implement remedial actions in accordance with the risk severity
for reducing the identified risks. The Case Management
application is integrated to create cases for managing risk remediation activities.

- Risk trend view to see how the risk score of a specific risk area changes over a period to track
its progress. You can view the trend for the last 30 days data.

- Custom risk configuration to assign a weight to various risk factors that are sourced from
different products for computing the risk score. You can customize your risk profile based on how
important a particular risk factor is for your organization.
