Managing apps and Edge Gateway

To use IBM® Security QRadar SOAR Edge Gateway and apps in your SOAR MSSP deployment, you must pair the Edge Gateway to each Standard account from which you want to run apps. You do not pair an Edge Gateway with the Provider account.

You must have an Edge Gateway installed and available. For information about installing and setting up an Edge Gateway, see the Edge Gateway Deployment Guide.

To configure Edge Gateway and apps in a SOAR MSSP deployment, complete the following tasks:
  1. Pair the Edge Gateway to each Standard account from which you want to run apps. You can have multiple Edge Gateways paired to a single Standard account, but a single Edge Gateway cannot be paired to multiple Standard accounts. For information about pairing, see Pairing.
  2. In the Provider account only, install the apps from the Apps tab as described in Apps.
  3. After you install the apps, complete a configuration push to push the apps to the Standard accounts, as described in Pushing configuration changes.
  4. The procedure to select an Edge Gateway and edit the configuration settings for your SOAR MSSP deployment is the same as described in Edge Gateway Deployment Guide, except that the SOAR MSSP administrator must enable the app in each Standard account instead of installing it.
