Onboarding a cloud account
You can add cloud accounts for AWS and Azure public cloud services.
Procedure
- Log in to the Wired portal.
- Click Onboard cloud.
- Click the cloud provider for the account that you want to onboard. Click AWS or Azure.
- Enter a name and description for the cloud account.
- Enter the credential information for the cloud account.
- AWS
- Access key ID
- The access key ID for the cloud account that you want to onboard.
- Secret access key
- The secret access key that you use with the access key ID to authenticate to AWS.
- Azure
- Client ID
- The application or client ID of the application that you want to onboard. You register the application through the App registrations in the Azure portal.
- Client secret
- The client secret of the application that you want to onboard. You generate the secret in the App registrations in the Azure portal.
- Tenant ID
- The unique directory (tenant) ID of the Azure Active Directory instance.
- Subscription
- The unique identifier that is associated with your Azure subscription.Draft comment: euconnor@ie.ibm.com

- AWS
- Click Onboard. The cloud account is onboarded and added to the Clouds menu in Site Planner.
- (Azure only) In the Azure portal, enable the deployment of SD-WAN
products for your Azure subscription.
- In the Azure portal marketplace, find and open the VMware SD-WAN - Virtual Edge product.
- In the product details page, select the VMware SD-WAN - Virtual Edge 4.2.x plan and click the link that prompts you to programmatically deploy the product.
- In the deployment page, enable the product for your Azure subscription and save.
- Repeat steps a to c for the following products and plans:
Product Plan VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud Virtual Edge VeloCloud Virtual Edge (2.5) VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud Virtual Edge VeloCloud Virtual Edge (3.x) Cisco vEdge Cloud Router Cisco vEdge Cloud Router 20.4.1
- (AWS only) In the AWS portal, enable the deployment of SD-WAN products
for your AWS subscription.
- In the AWS portal marketplace, go to the product search page.
- Find and open the VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud Virtual Edge product.
- In the product overview page, continue to the product subscription page.
- In the product subscription page, accept the subscription terms.
- Repeat steps a to d for the Cisco vEdge Cloud Router product.
