Creating and modifying Wired tenants

You can create and modify Wired tenants in the Site Planner UI. After you create a Wired tenant, you assign only one security group to it.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the IBM Cloud Pak® console. For login steps, see Logging in to the IBM Cloud Pak console.
  2. From the navigation menu, click Define > Infrastructure Devices.
  3. In the Site Planner UI, click Organization > TENANCY > Tenants.
  4. Click Add and specify the details of the tenant you want to create.
    1. Enter a tenant name.
    2. In the Slug field, enter a unique identifier of your choosing.
    3. Optional: Enter a tenant description.
    4. Click Create.
  5. Assign a security group to the tenant.
    1. In the Security Groups tile, click Add a security group. The security group assignment page is shown.
    2. In the Security group key field, enter the key, that is, the name, of the user attribute in your identity provider configuration that is used to store each user’s security groups. For example, if your identity provider is IBM w3id, and the blueGroups user attribute is used to store security groups, enter blueGroups.
    3. In the Security group value field, enter the name of a security group that you configured in your identity provider for Wired user access.
    4. Click Create.

Results

The tenant is created and the security group is assigned to the tenant. When Wired users that belong to the security group log in to the portal, they can access only the data that is created by users in their security group.
