Change Logs

Site Planner objects have a change log which records the date and time of each change to that object from the point that it is created. The change log for a Site Planner object can be accessed via a tab on the view screen for that object.

The change log displays the following fields:

  • Time: a date and time when the object was changed
  • User name: the user that made the change
  • Action: action performed (Created, Updated, Deleted)
  • Type: object type (for example, dcim | device)
  • Object: name of object changed
  • Request ID: uniquely identifies the change. It is passed with requests to the orchestration engine and is included in logging for the change.

The change log for all objects in Site Planner can be found in the header bar on any page under Other > Logging > Change Log, this page offers filters and searching of change logs.

Change records are also exposed in the API by using the read-only endpoint /extras/object-changes/.
