Installing

You can install IBM® Cloud Pak for Network Automation on clusters that are connected to the internet or on clusters that are in a restricted network environment that has no internet connection. You can install IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation in an active-active configuration for high availability. You can also install on a self-managed Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform cluster.

You can install IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation in the following ways:
  • Install IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation on clusters that are connected to the internet by using the IBM operator catalog.
  • Install IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation on clusters that are not connected to the internet by mirroring the IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation images to a private container registry.
  • Install IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation on three or more clusters in an active-active configuration for high availability (HA).
  • Install IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation on a self-managed Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform cluster on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The following high availability and disaster recovery options are available:
  • Install on a single cluster. You can back up the data from this primary cluster to an S3-compatible object store. To recover from a disaster that affects your IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation deployment, install on a recovery cluster and use the backed-up data on the recovery cluster.
