Creating an index pattern in Kibana

Create an index pattern in the Kibana dashboard to retrieve IBM® Cloud Pak for Network Automation data from Elasticsearch.

1. Open the Kibana dashboard and log in with the credentials for OpenShift®.
   Tip: You might need to allow some permissions for Kibana to access your account.
2. Type the following pattern as the index pattern: lm-logs*
3. Click Next step.
4. Select @timestamp from the Time filter field name list.
5. Click Show advanced options.
6. Type the following pattern as the custom index pattern ID: lm-logs
7. Click Create index pattern.

The index pattern is available in the Kibana dashboard, as shown in the following example:
