Configuring

After IBM® Cloud Pak for Network Automation is installed, you can configure it according to the standards and requirements of your environment.

Configuring multitenancy
You can enable multitenancy after the installation of IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation if you did not enable it during the installation. After you enable multitenancy, you must configure administrators and users.
Configuring backup and restore
Configure IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation to back up and restore your orchestration data and application logging data.
Changing credentials
After you install IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation, you can change the default credentials that you use to authenticate with the Cloud Pak components.
Configuring Kafka connections
Configure a Kafka client to connect to your secure instance of IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation Orchestration Manager. To access the secure Kafka endpoint, you need the certificate for the SSL connection and a username and password for authentication.
Enabling and disabling application logging
You can enable or disable application logging during an installation or upgrade of IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation. You can also enable or disable application logging after you install or upgrade.
Accessing the IBM Cloud Pak via a customized hostname or IP address
Instead of using the default system-assigned URL to access IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation, you can configure access via a customized hostname and, optionally, an external IP address.
Configuring cluster monitoring
Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform includes a preconfigured monitoring stack that you can use to monitor IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation.
Using custom keys and certificates for deploying orchestration
The resources of the IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation orchestration component are protected by an authentication layer in place on the gateway, that is, Ishtar. To gain access to any of these protected resources, an authorization process takes place. As a minimum, this authorization requires providing some valid client credentials (client ID and secret) which are normally deemed as sufficient security.
Application logging with EFK
Use the Elasticsearch, Fluentd, and Kibana (EFK) tools to aggregate application log data for IBM Cloud Pak for Network Automation.
