Using Secure Tunnel on IBM Cloud Pak console

By using IBM Cloud Pak console, you can easily create, view, or configure Secure Tunnel to meet your needs.

Before you begin

Ensure that the following prerequisites are met:

• Ensure that your network can access the Hub Cluster.
• Ensure that your service is based on Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) protocol because Secure Tunnel supports only TCP and other protocols that are based on TCP.

How to use Secure Tunnel on IBM Cloud Pak console

1. You can view all the tunnel networks, port forwarding, and port forwarding groups that are created. For more information, see Viewing tunnel on IBM Cloud Pak console.

2. You can create a tunnel network, expose a port forwarding for a server or a service in the private network, and then access the port forwarding from an endpoint or an application in public cloud clusters or in the Hub Cluster. For more information, see Creating tunnel on IBM Cloud Pak console.

3. You can modify the configurations for a tunnel network, a port forwarding, or a port forwarding group to meet your needs. For more information, see Configuring tunnel on IBM Cloud Pak console.
