Upgrading your agents and data collectors

Learn how to upgrade your agents and data collectors to view monitoring data on the IBM Cloud Pak console.

If you have Monitoring Agents agents connecting to the Monitoring server, you can upgrade these agents and view monitoring data on the IBM Cloud Pak console. For more information, see Upgrading monitoring agents.

If you have IBM Tivoli® Monitoring agents or ITCAM agents (referred to as V6 agents) connecting to the Monitoring server, you can upgrade these agents and view monitoring data on the IBM Cloud Pak console. For more information, see Upgrading your IBM Tivoli Monitoring agents.

If you have Cloud APM, Private V8.1.4 agents (referred to as V8 agents) connecting to the Monitoring server, you can upgrade these agents and view monitoring data on the IBM Cloud Pak console. For more information, see Upgrading your Cloud APM agents.

Notes:

• Both HTTP and HTTPS connections to the Monitoring server are supported. However, if HTTPS communication is enabled, reconnecting the agents to the Monitoring server is not supported.
