Deploying Unified Agent

The Unified Agent provides abilities to collect, process, aggregate, and write metrics to your monitoring environment. It is based on Telegraf and creates a framework of plug-ins to provide monitoring functions.

You can deploy Unified Agent in both cloud and on-premises environments, depending on what monitoring functions you want.

Note: Because the Linux® OS plug-in requires the privileged mode for linux OS monitoring, Unified Agent needs to be run in containers with the privileged mode.
