Roles and permissions
Different user roles that are assigned within your enterprise define the various tasks required to install, configure, and use IBM Cloud Pak for Integration.
Using LDAP
With Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), IBM Cloud Pak Platform UI can authenticate users against an existing LDAP user registry.
Adding users in the IBM Cloud Pak Platform UI
Users on IBM Cloud Pak Platform UI must be registered with an external identity provider. User roles link users to permissions, and can be assigned to users and user groups.
Adding additional namespaces to a team
If the Cloud Pak for Integration operator is installed using the All namespaces on the cluster installation mode, an administrator can manage additional namespaces by assigning them to a team.
Creating teams
You can create a team and add users, user groups, and resources to the team. All users in a team have access to the team resources. A user, user group, or resource can be assigned to multiple teams.
Adding resources to a team
You can add a resource from your product cluster. Team members have access to only those resources that are added to the team.
Changing the cluster administrator access credentials
Update the cluster administrator username and password.
Enabling administrator authentication on IBM Cloud
Set up authentication for an admin user so they can log into Red Hat OpenShift with their IBMid.
