This page describes support for custom images of IBM Cloud Pak® for Integration components.

Support for custom images

Where the unmodified container images shipped with Cloud Pak for Integration are used, IBM supports the image itself. Following normal container practices, it is possible to extend the container images for component capabilities within IBM Cloud Pak for Integration. If extended images are used then it is the original capabilities that are supported, rather than the complete new image. As such it is necessary to demonstrate that issues raised are within product capabilities specifically. Any issues with the customization will not be supported.

Custom images can be deployed, however the Platform UI only detects IBM Cloud Pak for Integration versions of the products.

There are some specific exceptions to this general policy. Certain of the products define procedures for extending the images that are supported.

If MQ container images are extended as documented at IBM MQ Queue Manager containers then the original capabilities of the image are supported.
