Event Endpoint Management deployment on IBM Z

You can deploy an instance of Event Endpoint Management on a cluster running on IBM Z. The following steps cover deployment considerations and prerequisites, steps to prepare and install the required operators, and the installation process for an Event Endpoint Management instance.

Important: Only the Management and Portal subsystems can be deployed on the IBM Z cluster. The Event Gateway Service must be deployed and configured separately.

Important: When deploying both the Events and APIs endpoint types, additional prerequisite steps are required before deploying the instance of Event Endpoint Management. An IBM Z and x86_64 cluster will be required to deploy all subsystems.

  1. Review the installation considerations and restrictions

  2. Prepare clusters and install the operators

  1. Deploy an instance of Event Endpoint Management

  2. Deploy and register a standalone Event Gateway Service

Additional requirements when deploying both Events and APIs endpoint types

When deploying both Events and APIs endpoint types, additional configuration and set up steps are required. The Gateway and Analytics subsystems must be deployed and configured on an x86_64 cluster as described in the following topics:
