Event streams deployment
The IBM Cloud Pak for Integration Event Streams capability is provided through the deployment of an instance of IBM Event Streams.
You can deploy an instance of Event Streams as part of Cloud Pak for Integration by using the Platform Navigator as described later in this section.
You can also deploy an instance of Event Streams by using the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform web console or CLI, as described in the Event Streams documentation.
Before you begin
You must meet the following dependencies before you begin.
Ensure you have set up your environment to meet the prerequisites for deploying Event Streams.
Ensure you plan for deploying an instance of Event Streams, such as preparing for persistent storage, considering security options, and planning for resilience.
Event Streams uses the default
restricted
Security Context Constraint (SCC) that comes with the OpenShift Container Platform. If you use a custom SCC, you might need to apply the SCC provided by Event Streams.Ensure you have the Event Streams operator installed.
If you are using the IBM Entitled Registry, a pull secret must exist in the namespace containing an entitlement key. See Applying your entitlement key.
