Elastic Cloud connection

To access your data in Elastic Cloud, create a connection asset for it.

Elastic Cloud is a serverless solution that offers the use of the Elasticsearch engine fully managed by a cloud provider.

Supported versions

Note:

Elasticsearch version 8.15.0 is not supported. If you are on version 8.15.0, upgrade to version 8.15.2. For more information, see Elasticsearch release notes.

Create a connection to Elastic Cloud

To create the connection asset, you need to choose one of the connection endpoint types:

  • URL: the URL to access Elastic Cloud
  • Cloud ID: this ID is from the Elastic Cloud web console

For credentials, choose one of the following methods:

  • Username and password
  • API key

You can also enable:

For Credentials and Certificates, you can use secrets if a vault is configured for the platform and the service supports vaults. For information, see Using secrets from vaults in connections.
