Creating custom alerts

You can use IBM® Db2® Data Management Console to create custom alerts by using SQL scripts and schedule them to run at a specific time.

Procedure

To create custom alerts:

  1. Access the console.
  2. In the connections table, click the connection that you want to work on.
  3. From the navigation menu, go to Settings > Monitoring profile.
    The Monitoring profile page displays.
  4. Click Custom alerts tab.
  5. To create and schedule alerts to run on specified databases, click Create alert.
  6. Enter the name of the custom alert to be created.
  7. Optional: Provide a short description of the alert.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Enter the script.
  10. Optional: Select the Alert severity.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Click the Select when to run toggle button to schedule the alert.
  13. Specify the Start date, and Time, for scheduling the alert.
  14. Click Next.
  15. Review the alert details and click Finish.
    The custom alert is created and listed under the Custom alerts tab.
  16. To save the custom alert, click Save on the Monitoring profile page.
