Creating custom alerts
You can use IBM® Db2® Data Management Console to create custom alerts by using SQL scripts and schedule them to run at a specific time.
Procedure
To create custom alerts:
- Access the console.
- In the connections table, click the connection that you want to work on.
- From the navigation menu, go to .The Monitoring profile page displays.
- Click Custom alerts tab.
- To create and schedule alerts to run on specified databases, click Create alert.
- Enter the name of the custom alert to be created.
- Optional: Provide a short description of the alert.
- Click Next.
- Enter the script.
- Optional: Select the Alert severity.
- Click Next.
- Click the Select when to run toggle button to schedule the alert.
- Specify the Start date, and Time, for scheduling the alert.
- Click Next.
- Review the alert details and click Finish. The custom alert is created and listed under the Custom alerts tab.
- To save the custom alert, click Save on the Monitoring profile page.
