Changing locales does not refresh all browser windows and tabs

When you switch from one locale to another in OpenPages, some pages are not displayed in the new locale.

Symptoms

After you change locales, some pages display in the new locale while others display in the previous locale or in English.

Causes

This issue can occur when your IBM® Software Hub environment uses multiple application servers and when you have OpenPages open in multiple browser windows or tabs.

Resolving the problem

  1. Close all browser windows and tabs.
  2. Open a new incognito or private window.

    Or, clear all OpenPages session cookies, which are called OPJSESSIONID-POD<N>. For example, in Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and security. Click See all cookies and site data. Click the OpenPages URL, and then delete the OPJSESSIONID-POD<N> cookies.

  3. Log in to OpenPages.
