Configuring DataStage jobs with Kerberos connection properties after migration
After you migrate a job from legacy DataStage®, if the job contains connections that have Kerberos authentication enabled, you must configure the job to work with the authentication.
About this task
To make jobs that feature Kerberos authentication work after migration, you must provide the Kerberos configuration file and keytab file. The Kerberos configuration file is a krb5.conf file that you copy from the Kerberos cluster onto your Cloud Pak for Data cluster. The keytab is a file that contains pairs of Kerberos principals and encrypted keys that are derived from the Kerberos password.
Procedure
- Provide the Kerberos configuration file by following the instructions in Enabling platform connections to use Kerberos authentication, in the section "Providing the Kerberos configuration file (krb5.conf) to the connections microservice."
- Copy the keytab file onto your Cloud Pak for Data cluster in a location where all of the PX runtime pods can access the file.
- Upload the keytab by way of the connection in the UI.
