Adding a dashboard from a catalog to your project

Add a dashboard from a catalog to your project, then relink the data sources in the dashboard.

Before you begin

Your project must contain the same or similar data sources as referenced in the dashboard that you are adding from the catalog. When you add a dashboard to your project, the dashboard does not automatically import its data source dependencies into the project.

1. From the navigation menu, choose Catalogs > All catalogs.
2. Click the catalog that contains the dashboard that you want to migrate.
3. Select the dashboard that you want to migrate and add the dashboard to your project.

   You can select your dashboard by using either of the following methods:

   • Click the Actions icon on the dashboard that you want to migrate and click Add to project.
   • From the table of assets, select the checkbox for the dashboard that you want to migrate, then click Add to project +.
4. From the Add to project page, click the Target field, then select the project where you want to migrate your dashboard.

   If the migration is successful, a dialog message appears with a Go to Project link to go to your project.

5. Go to the Assets page for your project by clicking the Go to Project link or by clicking the Assets tab from your project overview page.
6. Go to the dashboard that you migrated.
7. If necessary, enable edit mode by clicking the Edit icon until it is green with a checkmark .
8. Relink your data sources to complete the migration.

   For each data source, relink the data source as follows:

   1. Click the Sources icon .
   2. Click the Actions icon that is next to the data source.
   3. Click Relink and browse to the data source that you want to use.

      Make sure that the data source that you use is the same as, or similar to, the data source that is referenced in the dashboard that you are adding from the catalog.
