Upgrading watsonx Orchestrate from Version 4.8.x to Version 5.0

You cannot upgrade watsonx Orchestrate from Cloud Pak for Data Version 4.8 to Version 5.0. If you have existing data on watsonx Orchestrate, you can back up your existing data and then install watsonx Orchestrate in Cloud Pak for Data Version 5.0.

Before you begin

Backup your existing data of watsonx Orchestrate Version 4.8. For assistance with backing up your existing data, you can contact IBM Support.

Procedure

Follow these steps to upgrade watsonx Orchestrate from Version 4.8 to Version 5.0:

  1. Uninstall watsonx Orchestrate Version 4.8 to free up resources.

  2. Install watsonx Orchestrate Version 5.0.
