Analytics administrator can use the Cognos
Analytics administration console to restore the
service.
Note: If you are using
Cognos
Analytics on
Cloud Pak for Data 5.0.1 or later, you do not need to
use the
Cognos
Analytics administration console to create a
backup and to restore from a backup because
Cognos
Analytics supports all types of backup and restore on
Cloud Pak for Data. For more information, see
Backing up and restoring Cloud Pak for Data
Procedure
- Upload a deployment to restore the content back to the cluster:
Run the deployment.sh script with the -c upload option to
upload a deployment to the cluster:
./deployment.sh -c upload -n ${PROJECT_CPD_INST_OPERANDS} -t ${PROJECT_CPD_INSTANCE_TETHERED} -u user_name -p user_password -d deployment_name.zip

Open the Cognos
Analytics service and click
Manage > Administration Console.
The Administration console opens in a new window.

From the Administration Console, select the
Configuration tab and then select the Content
Administration option.

Select New Import and then select the uploaded file that is
displayed.

Click Next.

Enter the password that you set when you exported the content backup, and click
OK.

Click Next, Next, Save and run
once, and click Finish.

Type a name and then click OK.

Select the Option for when to run the export.
For example, if necessary, select Now and then check the
Upgrade all report specifications to the latest version checkbox and click
Run.

Click OK.
Tip: To check the status of the import, select View details of this
import. If the status is not displayed, refresh the page.
