Planning for a deployment with Cloud Pak for Data services and stand-alone software
Some IBM Cloud Pak for Data software is sold in a cartridge that includes entitlements to the containerized software that is installed with and runs on Cloud Pak for Data and entitlements to the stand-alone software.
The entitlements to the stand-alone software are primarily intended for existing customers who want to migrate from the stand-alone software to the containerized software.
If you want to use both the containerized software and the stand-alone software, you must

In most cases, the stand-alone software requires different hardware than the Cloud Pak for Data control plane and services and requires separate planning.
