Data Replication is installed. If this task is not complete, see Installing Data Replication.

Procedure

To create a service instance:

  1. From the Cloud Pak for Data web client menu, click Services > Instances.
  2. From the instances page, click New instance. By default, only the user who creates the instance can access it. You can individually manage access to all instances.
  3. From the service's catalog page, select Data Replication.
  4. Click New instance.
  5. Select Data Replication.
  6. Enter a name and provide the namespace. This namespace must be where all your services are installed, including Data Replication. Click Next.
  7. Choose your block storage class for persistent storage and choose the volume size. A portion of the volume size will be allocated to each pod of the instance. Two pods are created per instance. Click Next.
  8. Select the hardware configuration size and click Next.
  9. Review the summary.
  10. Click Create.
  11. Optional: Grant users access to the replication service.

Once the new Data Replication service instance shows up in the instances list (you may have to refresh the page), select the Manage Access action from the overflow menu.

On the access management page you can add users and set their role.
