Resync of lineage metadata (IBM Knowledge Catalog)

Resync the catalogs' metadata to start seeing the Knowledge Graph.

This is done after you upgrade to Version 5.0 from Version 4.7.3. You can see your assets in the Lineage tab.

Resync of lineage metadata

To resync a specific catalog's metadata:

  1. Run the following command:
oc edit cj wkc-search-lineage-cronjob
  1. Find a section:
             - name: dbs_to_sync`
              `value: '[]'
  1. Specify what catalogs to resyc.
    • To resync all catalogs keep the value empty.
             - name: dbs_to_sync`
          `value: '[]'
    • Enter the ID of one catalog in brackets to resync only one catalog. For example:
             - name: dbs_to_sync`
          `value: '[bbf325c5-3452-440b-81c1-8b68eaafa5e5]'
    • Enter IDs of many catalogs in brackets separated by a comma to resync many catalogs. For example:
             - name: dbs_to_sync`
          `value: '[bbf325c5-3452-440b-81c1-8b68eaafa5e5, gga523d4-4658-553a-22c4-9f86efdfb6e6]'
  2. Run the following command to finish resyncing:
oc create job -n ${PROJECT_CPD_INST_OPERANDS} --from=cronjob/wkc-search-lineage-cronjob lineage-job
