Upgrading prerequisite software (Upgrading from Version 5.0.x to a later 5.0 refresh)

Several services have prerequisite software that must be upgraded by a cluster administrator.

Who needs to complete this task?

Cluster administrator A cluster administrator must update the prerequisite software on the cluster.

When do you need to complete this task?

Complete the appropriate tasks if your environment includes any of the services that need the prerequisite software.

One-time setup You must complete this task if you upgrade your cluster and need to upgrade the prerequisite software to maintain compatibility with:

The version of Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform that you are running.
The version of IBM Cloud Pak for Data that you plan to upgrade to.
