Importing lineage relationship mapping files (IBM Knowledge Catalog)

Lineage relationship mapping files are CSV files that define a mapping group that contains mappings, where each mapping defines the relationship between two different assets.

Required permission

You must have the following user permission:

  • Access catalogs

You must have one of the following user roles:

  • Catalog admin
  • Catalog editor

Lineage relationship mapping files create a Mapping group asset as a parent asset with lineage relationship mappings as child assets. Each mapping asset contains information about a single relationship between two other assets. Relationships can also be defined at column level.

All assets that are used in the relationships must exist in the catalog before you import the lineage relationship mapping file. You can import up to ten files at once. In the lineage graph, the mapping asset shows up between the source and the target.
