After you upgrade OpenPages instances, you need to give the cpadmin user Super Administrator privileges in OpenPages.

About this task

In Cloud Pak for Data 4.7.0, the name of the administrative user changed to cpadmin. In prior releases, the administrative user was called admin. Do this task to make the new cpadmin a Super Administrator in OpenPages.

Do this task for each OpenPages instance.

Note: If you used another name for the administrative user in your prior release of Cloud Pak for Data, you do not need to do this task.

Procedure

  1. Go to the following URL:
    https://route/auth/login/zen-login.html
  2. Log in to Cloud Pak for Data as the admin user.
  3. Click Instances and locate your OpenPages instance.
  4. Click the options menu and select Manage Access.
  5. Add cpadmin to the list of users who can access OpenPages.
  6. Wait for the user and group synchronization job to run.
Or from a different browser, log in to the URL in step 1 as the cpadmin user.
  7. Go to the OpenPages URL and log in as the admin user.
  8. Click Settings menu > Users and Security > Users.
  9. Click the cpadmin user.
  10. Set Super Administrator to True, and then click Save.
  11. Click Copy Access From.
The cpadmin user page is shown. The Copy Access From option is clicked. A panel shows a search box where you can type admin to select the user whose access permissions you want to copy.
  12. Select the admin user, and then click Copy.
  13. Log out of OpenPages.
  14. Log in to OpenPages as the cpadmin user.
Click Settings menu. Verify that you can see administrative options such as Users and Security.
