Upgrade to IBM Software Hub Version 5.1 before IBM Cloud Pak for Data Version 4.8 reaches end of support. For more information, see Upgrading from IBM Cloud Pak for Data Version 4.8 to IBM Software Hub Version 5.1.

To successfully upgrade from IBM Cloud Pak for Data Version 4.6 to Version 4.8, you must have specific information about your environment.

Who needs to complete this task?: Cloud Pak for Data operations team The IBM Cloud Pak for Data operations team or the cluster administrator must complete the appropriate tasks to collect information that is needed to upgrade Cloud Pak for Data.
When do you need to complete this task?: Repeat as needed If you have multiple instances of Cloud Pak for Data on your cluster, repeat the tasks in this section for each instance of Cloud Pak for Data that you want to upgrade.
