Upgrading Cloud Pak for Data
Use the following guidance to upgrade your existing IBM Cloud Pak® for Data installation to Version 4.7.4.
Each section includes information on how to upgrade based on the current version of Cloud Pak for Data that you are running.
Version 4.0.x
You cannot upgrade from Cloud Pak for Data Version 4.0.
- Version 4.5

- Version 4.6

Version 4.5.x
You can upgrade from IBM Cloud Pak for Data Version 4.5.x to Version 4.7.1 or later refreshes.
The documentation assumes that you are upgrading to Version 4.7.4, but you should be able to follow documentation to upgrade to earlier refreshes.

Version 4.6.x
You can upgrade from IBM Cloud Pak for Data Version 4.6.x to Version 4.7.
The documentation assumes that you are upgrading to Version 4.7.4, but you should be able to follow documentation to upgrade to earlier refreshes.

Version 4.7.x
You can upgrade from IBM Cloud Pak for Data Version 4.7.x to a later 4.7 refresh.
