Installing an instance of IBM Cloud Pak for Data

Upgrade to IBM Software Hub Version 5.1 before IBM Cloud Pak for Data Version 4.7 reaches end of support. For more information, see Upgrading IBM Software Hub in the IBM Software Hub Version 5.1 documentation.

You can install one or more instances of IBM Cloud Pak for Data on your Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform cluster. Each instance of Cloud Pak for Data has its own project for operators and its own project for the Cloud Pak for Data control plane and services (also called operands).

Who needs to complete this task?

Instance administrator An instance administrator must complete the appropriate tasks to install an instance of IBM Cloud Pak for Data on the cluster.

When do you need to complete this task?

Repeat as needed The tasks in this section must be completed at least once. However, you can repeat these tasks to install multiple instances of Cloud Pak for Data.
