File connectors in DataStage

Some of the connectors are file connectors. Unlike the DataStage® data source connectors, they do not require that you create a connection asset in the project.

Complex Flat File in DataStage
The Complex Flat File (CFF) connector is a file connector. You can use the connector to read a file or write to a file, but you cannot use the same connector to do both.
Data set
You can read data from or write data to a data set. You can use the data set as a source or target.
File set
Use a file set as a source or target. You can read data from or write data to a file set.
Lookup file set
Use the Lookup file set to create a file set or reference one for a lookup.
Sequential file
Use a sequential file to read data from or write data one or more flat files.
