Upgrading an instance of IBM Cloud Pak for Data (Upgrading from Version 4.7.x to a later 4.7 refresh)
To upgrade an instance of IBM Cloud Pak for Data, you must update the operators and operands (custom resources) that are associated with the instance.

Repeat as needed If you have multiple instances of Cloud Pak for Data on the cluster, repeat the appropriate tasks for each instance that you plan to upgrade to Version 4.7.
Before you begin
The following tasks must be completed before you upgrade an instance of IBM Cloud Pak for Data to Version 4.7:
- Updating client workstations (Upgrading from Version 4.7.x to a later 4.7 refresh)
- Collecting information required to upgrade IBM Cloud Pak for Data (Upgrading from Version 4.7.x to a later 4.7 refresh)
- Preparing to run IBM Cloud Pak for Data upgrades from a private container registry (Upgrading from Version 4.7.x to a later 4.7 refresh)Note: This task is required only if you pull images from a private container registry.
- Upgrading shared cluster components (Upgrading from Version 4.7.x to a later 4.7 refresh)
