Archiving data from the Db2 Data Gate dashboard
You can archive the data in Db2 for z/OS® table partitions the dashboard of a Db2 Data Gate instance.
Procedure
- Click to open the Cloud Pak for Data main menu.
- Select
Services > Instances. You see the Instances page. The Instances tab is in front. Your instances are listed in a table.
- Move your mouse pointer to the table row that represents the instance you want to work on. Move the mouse pointer to the very right of that row until a menu icon comes into view ().
- From that drop-down menu (),
select Open.
The dashboard is displayed.
- Click the Table tab.
- Select the tables you want to archive from (select the check boxes in the first column on the left of the table list).
- On the header of the table list, click .
- In the Archive partition window, you can select the partitions to be
archived by choosing one of the following methods:
- Select Move all partitions up to and including the following limit
key.
After you select this check box, the Choose an option drop-down list on the right allows you to select a limit key. A limit key is the upper end of a range defined by a partitioning key. The drop-down list will be empty if no partitioning key is found for the selected tables.
Select a limit key to select all partitions that fall within the defined limit, but do not exceed it.
- Select the check boxes in front of the partition names to select partitions manually.
- Select Move all partitions up to and including the following limit
key.
- Click Continue.
- Check the summary that is displayed. If the selection is correct, click Archive.
