Hardware and storage requirements for Db2 Warehouse

Before you enable replication for the Db2® Warehouse service, ensure that you meet the required hardware and storage requirements.

Hardware

Replication is supported on x86-64 hardware platforms. It is an add-on component to the Db2 Warehouse service. In addition to the hardware requirements for the service, you need the following additional CPU and memory for replication:

CPU
  • Minimum: 8 vCPU per node
Memory
  • Minimum: 16 GiB

Storage

The Db2 Warehouse deployment on which you are enabling replication must use either the NFS (managed-nfs-storage) storage class, an IBM® Storage Scale storage class, or an OpenShift® Data Foundation (ODF) storage class. Generally, 100 Gi is a reasonable storage amount, but the amount that you specify depends on the size of the database changes that you plan to replicate. The storage is either ReadWriteOnce (RWO) or ReadWriteMany (RWX).
