Preparing your cluster (Upgrading from Version 4.5 to Version 4.6)

Before you upgrade IBM Cloud Pak® for Data, you must complete several tasks to prepare your cluster.

When you installed or upgraded to Cloud Pak for Data Version 4.5, you completed the following tasks, so you do not need to complete them again:

• Installing or upgrading Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform.
• Setting up persistent storage.
• Setting up projects (namespaces).
• Updating the global image pull secret.

The tasks in this section assume that you are upgrading the services that you already have on your cluster. If you are adding new services, reviewPreparing your cluster in the Installing section to determine whether there are any additional tasks that you must complete.
