Decisions dashboard
The Decisions dashboard provides a comprehensive view of statistics about your Operational Decision Manager decisions. These include visualizations of
execution outcomes, total decision counts, frequency of executions, and average ruleset durations,
allowing users to monitor trends and identify issues in decision processing. By presenting technical
data such as execution successes, failures, and duration metrics, the dashboard supports users in
optimizing performance without displaying business-specific decision details.
- Service health
- This widget displays a donut chart that shows how the decisions are distributed by type of
execution results.
- The EXECUTION_SUCCESS part counts all the decisions that ran successfully and provided the expected event.
- The EXECUTION_FAILURE part counts the decisions that failed to complete.
- The TRACE_GENERATION_ERROR part counts the decisions that ran successfully but the associated trace failed to be generated.
- Count
- This widget gives the total number of decisions in the selected time range.
- Number of executions by minute
- This widget displays a bar graph with the number of executions per minute.
- Ruleset execution duration
- This widget displays a bar graph in which each bar shows the average duration of ruleset
execution for the period that is marked by the displayed timestamp. It shows a maximum of 10
rulesets. Note: This average duration reflects only the execution of the ruleset. It does not include the duration of the event emission process.
- Average execution duration with KPI
- This widget presents a linear gauge representing the average execution times for each decision service, providing a consolidated view of execution times in a single display. It enables a quick assessment of which decision services require the most processing time.
- Average execution duration by ruleset
- This widget displays a donut chart illustrating the average execution duration per ruleset, calculated across decision services. Execution times are categorized into three thresholds: Good, Acceptable, and Low. This categorization enables a clear view of how many decision services fall into each performance range.
The predefined Decisions dashboard displays technical data from the IBM Operational Decision Manager event emitter about your decisions. It does not show your business data, such as the input and output of your decisions.
