Annotating composite fields
To annotate a composite field, you must capture the data from each subfield.
Procedure
- Select the composite field from the field list.
- Under Field label, click Draw. If your composite field does not have a label, go to step 4.
- Use the mouse to draw a bounding box around the label for this field. Make any necessary corrections to the text captured in the label text box.
- Under Field value, click Draw.
- Use the mouse to draw a bounding box around the entire composite field.
- Click Capture sub-fields.
- For each subfield:
- Under Field label, click Draw and draw a bounding box around the label for this subfield.
- Under Field value, click Draw and draw a bounding box around the value for this subfield.
- Click Done when you finish annotating the subfields.
- For the composite field and each subfield, you can see and edit the aliases for this field. Aliases are alternative names that can help the model identify this field. As you extract data, names that are found in documents are added to this list. Aliases must be unique for each field within a document type.
- In the main field list, click Save to save the composite
field. Note: When a composite field has another composite as a subfield, it is not possible to annotate the second-level subfield. In this scenario, you see a View subfields option, instead of Draw. Click this option to see a read-only view of the second-level subfields.
