Upgrading from 25.0.0, 25.0.1, and 26.0.0-GA

Upgrade your Cloud Pak for Business Automation operators and deployment by using the REST API of the CP4BA Automated Upgrade container.

Before you begin

Before you begin, verify that your installed version is supported for upgrade. For more information about supported upgrading paths, see Upgrading.

About this task

The upgrade process consists of two sequential tasks. First, you upgrade the Cloud Pak for Business Automation operators, and then you upgrade the deployment. You perform both tasks by sending REST API requests to the CP4BA Automated Upgrade container that is running in your cluster.

Note: If you are upgrading from 26.0.0-GA to 26.0.0-IF001 or later, the operator upgrade completes the full upgrade process. You do not need to follow the steps in Upgrading your CP4BA deployment.
