Completing the IBM Automation Document Processing upgrade

After the operator upgrades your document processing components, you need to do some additional configurations to complete the upgrade process.

Procedure

To complete the upgrade for Document Processing

  1. Remove the mongoUri parameter from ibm-adp-secret secret.
  2. Upgrade your applications that are based on previous versions of the Batch Document Processing Template and Document Processing Template. For more information, see Upgrading document processing applications.
  3. Update your existing projects.
If you want to work with a document processing project that you created in the previous version, you must open the project in the updated document processing designer, retrain your classification model, reanalyze all training files individually and verify the annotations, and make the training files ready for training before you retrain the extraction model. After these steps, you can create a new version of the project.
  4. Redeploy projects that were deployed before the upgrade.
For Project Admins-<projectName> to be able to deploy projects, a member of the Doc Processing Manager or Doc Processing Analyst team must first redeploy that project.

The Doc Processing Project Admins team must be added as a team member of the BTS Creators team to give the Project Admins-<project> team the ability to deploy.

  5. Add the shortname of your existing user or users to the following teams in Business Team Server.
    • Doc Processing Managers
    • Doc Processing Service Accounts
    • Project Admins-<projectName>
    • Project Deployers-<projectName>
    • Business Owners-<projectName>
    • Classification Workers-<projectName>

The shortname of your users can be found from the Distinguished Names (DN) of your existing users. For example, if the DN is CN=sampleOwnerUser, DC=sampleDC, DC=com, the shortname is sampleOwnerUser.

To access your Business Teams Server, go to http://<cpd_host>/teamserver/ui to access the UI, where the cpd-host is the cpd route.

To obtain the cpd route, run the following command:

    oc get route cpd
