Troubleshooting runtime applications
You might encounter errors when processing documents in a document processing application or batch document processing application. Review the following error states to fix the issues. If problems persist, contact the system administrator for your application.
Document processing applications
When single documents in document processing applications are processed, the following errors can occur.
- Uploading Error
- An uploading error occurs when a failure occurs before the document is successfully uploaded to the repository. You must replace and upload again the documents that are in the "uploading error" state.
- Processing error
- A processing error can occur after a document is successfully uploaded to the repository. This error indicates that a failure has occurred during the classification or data extraction process. This can occur due to low quality documents or extended network connectivity problems. To correct this error, you must resubmit or delete the documents that are in the "processing error" state.
- Finalization error
- A finalization error can occur after a document completed the classification and data extraction steps without error. This error indicates that a failure has occurred when the extracted data was saved as document metadata in the repository. You can hover over the error icon in the list view to access additional information about the error. Also, detailed error messages might be displayed after the fields on the data verification page. Documents that are in the finalization error state must be edited in the data verification page to correct any missing or invalid values and then submitted for finalization.
Batch document processing applications
When processing batches of documents in batch document processing applications, the following errors can occur.
- Processing error
- A batch enters the processing error state when one or more documents in the batch have a processing error. You can delete the selected documents, or replace them from the batch details page. You can also resubmit the entire batch from the batch list.
- Finalization error
- A batch enters the finalization error state when one or more documents in the batch has a finalization error. You must review the extracted data for these documents and correct this data from the data verification page. Then, you can resubmit the batch from the Data extraction issues page. From the batch details page, you can delete documents in an error state, which allows you to submit the batch from the Data extraction issues page.
