Creating branches

When you create a decision automation, a branch is created by default.

Before you begin

Tip: It is preferred to create a branch in IBM Business Automation Studio. For more information about how to do it in Business Automation Studio, see Creating decision automations.

Procedure

  1. Open the Branches tab from your decision automation page.
  2. Choose one the following options to create a branch:
    Option Procedure
    Start from the Create branch menu
    1. Click the Create branch button.
    2. Enter a branch name.
    3. In the Branch from section, use the drop-down list to choose which existing branch you want to base your new branch off.
    4. Click Create.
    Start from the branch you want to copy
    1. Click the Create new branch from icon Switch branch icon next to the branch you want to base your new branch off.
    2. Enter a branch name.
    3. Click Create.

Results

You automatically switch to the newly created branch. If you want to switch to another branch, click the Switch branch Switch branch icon icon in the toolbar at the top of your decision automation.
