Advanced configuration of FileNet Content Manager

The following instructions help you complete the Advanced Configuration for FileNet® Content Manager (FNCM) in the OpenShift® Installed Operators user interface.

When you complete the configuration settings for FileNet Content Manager, you provide information that reflects the preparation work that you did to create a directory server and the required databases. Be sure to complete all the required tasks in Preparing for FileNet Content Manager. Record the values and use them when you complete the configuration sections in the Installed Operators Form View.

The following sections are relevant in the Form View when FileNet Content Manager (olm_custom_content) is set to true. You can also edit the configuration for a Starter deployment (olm_starter_content is set to true), but it is simpler to accept the default values for evaluation purposes.

Shared Configuration

You can choose whether to include initialization and verification in your deployment:
  • Content Initialization
  • Content Verification

You enter additional values in the initialization and deployment sections. These choices provide an initial setup of required configuration settings.

LDAP

Provide all of the values for your directory server configuration in the LDAP section.

Database Configuration

Enter the required settings for the following databases in the appropriate section:
  • GCD Datasource Configuration

  • Content Management OS Datasource Configuration
  • Navigator Datasource Configuration - If you are including the Business Automation Navigator in your deployment.

For more information, see Datasource parameters.

Initialization Configuration

If you choose to include automatic initialization in your deployment, provide values in the following sections:
  • LDAP Creation
  • Create Object Store Configuration
  • Navigator Initialization Configuration

Optional Components for Content Management Enterprise deployment

The following components can be enabled by setting the value to true. By default, they are all set to false.

  • Content Search Services
  • IBM® Content Management Interoperability Services
  • IBM Task Manager
  • IBM Enterprise Records
  • IBM Content Collector for SAP
  • User Management Service
Remember: You can use the parameter descriptions in IBM FileNet Content Manager parameters to help you add more configurations. You can also copy and paste parameters from the custom resource production pattern templates in the YAML View and edit the parameters. You can edit the custom resource (CR) file in the editor, but it is best if you have the CR complete and verified before you save your changes in the editor. For example, go to http://www.yamllint.com/ External link opens a new window or tab to verify the contents of your file.
