Importing a library

You can add project artifacts that were created outside of your project, such as additional field types or Natural Language Extractors. You make these artifacts available by importing a library of artifacts.

About this task

If you create field types or extractors in another project, you can import them to use in your current project. The language of the artifacts that you import must match your project language.

The library cache is enabled for Natural Language Extractors to improve performance. By default, the system can cache 20 library model caches into memory. If you want to import more libraries and get better performance for Natural Language Extractors, you can increase the library model cache size. At the same time, you must increase the memory limit of the Natural Language Extractor deployment to fit your new cache size setting, based on the newly imported library size. For more information, see IBM Automation Document Processing parameters.

Procedure

To add a library:

  1. From the Field enrichments page, click Import library.
  2. In the Browse window, locate your library file to import, and click Choose.
The new library is included in the list. You can click the library to see the list of field types or extractors that are included. From the list view, you can replace the library with a new uploaded version, or delete the library.
