Engine to
run the application that you developed in IBM Business Automation Application Designer.
Application Engine is based on
Node.js
and you deploy it as a container. This deployment is required for production environments, but is optional for non-production environments, like test and staging environments. Deploying this container in test or staging environments is a good practice, since you can test your automation applications in an environment that closely resembles your production environment.
