Changing application network configuration

Note: If you want to change the application FQDN, VLAN, or custom route for an existing application network, see the separate use cases for these items. If you want to add a new application network, see the separate use case for that case.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have:
  • prefixlen
  • Gateway IP
  • Floating IP address
  • MTU

Procedure

  1. Connect to e1n1 by using the management floating IP.
  2. Depending on your requirements, update prefixlen, gateway IP, or MTU by following Shared application network variables.
  3. Depending on your requirements, update the CNAME IP in the A record of the Zone Definition file on the customer's DNS server to match the new application floating IP by following Setting up a wildcard DNS entry.
  4. Validate the YAML file.
  5. Test the YAML file and run the playbooks.
  6. Validate that the Cloud Pak for Data System console is accessible through a browser.
  7. Validate that the Cloud Pak for Data System application IP is accessible from the network.
