Callhome pod deployment

This topic serves as complete reference to successfully deploying special build callhome. This callhome container build is provided to address security vulnerabilities.

Procedure

Visit the Mageneto patch applying steps link to download the patch.
Download the below under /root/SB/images:
- callhome-operator-2.0.2.2-20250924.124807-5-icpds-release-2.0.2.2-sb.tar.gz
- callhome-2.0.2.2-20250924.124736-5-icpds-release-2.0.2.2-sb.tar.gz
Download the below under /root/SB/images/deployment:
- callhome-operator-deploy-2.0.2.2-20250924.124820-5-icpds-release-2.0.2.2-sb.tar.gz

Deploy the operator deployment using below command:

tar -xvf callhome-operator-deploy-2.0.2.2-20250924.124820-5-icpds-release-2.0.2.2-sb.tar.gz  -C /install/app_img/callhome/operator

Deploy the images in the local image registry:

/opt/ibm/appliance/platform/xcat/scripts/xcat/deploy_images -d /root/SB/images -n ap-callhome

Uninstall the pod.

/install/app_img/callhome/operator/scripts/callhome-deploy.sh uninstall

Install the pod.

/install/app_img/callhome/operator/scripts/callhome-deploy.sh install
