Troubleshooting

Refer to this section for information on troubleshooting problems with your Cloud Pak for Data System system.

Diagnostic data is collected automatically by Platform Manager. Platform Manager monitors the system components, and it can raise and close alerts based on the current status of a given component. If you have CallHome configured, service requests are automatically opened for a set of alerts, and IBM is notified. Diagnostic data is collected automatically and attached to the service request.

Diagnostic data can also be collected manually, with the use of apdiag utility. apdiag has various symptom related collections which simplify the troubleshooting process and can be used as must-gather information for IBM Support when needed.
