Getting started

Cloud Pak for Data System version 1.0.8 is the next version after 1.0.7.8 and is dedicated to Netezza Performance Server customers only. Starting with 1.0.7.8 version, the components which are going out of support soon are deactivated or removed as not needed for NPS to work, such as Red Hat OpenShift 3.11, Cloud Pak for Data 3.5, and Portworx. With 1.0.8 version the existing VMs are removed, the firmware is upgraded and Python 3 is introduced. The main system application that is installed on the system is Netezza. Cloud Pak for Data is not available on this version.

This documentation includes the information for all the management, administering and monitoring tasks that pertain to the Cloud Pak for Data System itself.

The Cloud Pak for Data System documentation is divided into three collections, which you can select from the drop down list on the upper left corner:
  • 1.0 - for version 1.0.7.7 and lower
  • 1.0.7.x - for 1.0.7.8
  • 1.0.8.x - for 1.0.8 version and higher
  • 2.0 - for version 2.0.0 and higher
