Monitoring and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and Cloud Pak for AIOps

OpenShift Container Platform comes with a built-in Prometheus-based monitoring stack that scrapes metrics across the entire cluster. This stack comes with pre-built dashboards and alerts to help you monitor your cluster.

Grafana is a powerful visualization tool that can be used in combination with the built-in OpenShift Container Platform monitoring stack to create real-time dashboards for monitoring Cloud Pak for AIOps stability and performance. Notes:

• Grafana is a 3rd party component that is not owned by IBM, use with caution.
• This Grafana/Prometheus monitoring stack currently works for deployments of Cloud Pak for AIOps on OpenShift Container Platform. Cloud Pak for AIOps deployments on Linux are not currently supported.
• Cloud Pak for AIOps installed in an air-gapped environment (offline) is not supported by this monitoring stack.
